I was wondering if this kit is worth the $295?

$295 is certainly less costly than the usual lawyer consultation fee. As for the content, if anyone is worth relying on it's The Game Attorney. Tom Buscaglia really knows his stuff. I've seen him talk at conferences and his knowledge is pretty spot on. I just talked to someone who might know more about the kit. He told me you are getting boiler-plate contracts and useful advice on getting started.

I do not think it is a replacement for an actual lawyer, but it might be a good start if you are serious about wanting to make game development a full time job. You can get a sneak peak at some of the legal documents before shelling out for a full legal consultation.
