Torque Logo on boxart

OK, I've read all the stuff on the Logo guidelines and what not and basically understand what you want, but I do have a question.
Backstory is that XBLIG requires each game to have it's own boxart. I'm personally paying homage to some of the old school NES cartridges(much like Josh Neider did with Zombie Sniper and the Genesis look). If we all remember the old NES box arts they all had a spot for the licensed by Nintendo/Nintendo Seal of approval images. Well, since I'm paying homage to that, those spots will be rather empty and I feel the torque logo would fit perfectly.
Can I do this? If so, are there any specific guidelines to follow? It's not exactly print or web, nor does it fit the screen stuff as it's not actually in the game. It's ok if I can't, I just thought it'd be really cool to have.

Is my prospective box art if that helps. If I did mess up the guidelines, please tell me.

My 2 cents: put in that way the logo (any logo) is an authoring signature. I guess you should add "Powered by" to make it correct. Same goes (IMO) for splash screens and so on.

http://www.torquepowered.com/company/logo-guidelines is the current guidelines. I don't mind putting in something like that if IA says to, but I'd like to hear from them as it'd be nice to have set guidelines for boxart if they are going to allow it.

The torque logo makes me want to play it more!

If not, I got an idea for a label type thing to label what type of game it is, like Shmup, for that spot. I feel it's too empty without something on the bottom.

Heh, well it's no where near done. Was just doing a boxart since it's required for playtest and nearly have something I feel is playtestable and want to throw it in there some time soon, but kind of want to get this issue cleared up first. If not, I got an idea for a label type thing to label what type of game it is, like Shmup, for that spot. Go read the logo guidelines: www.torquepowered.com/company/logo-guidelines you need to leave at least 10% whitespace around the logo from all other elements, that includes the edges.
I have worked with lots of corporate identities (my company used to to create them). It will also look a lot better.

You need space below and above the logo, probably equal to about a third of the logo height.Go read the logo guidelines: www.torquepowered.com/company/logo-guidelines you need to leave at least 10% whitespace around the logo from all other elements, that includes the edges.

It now has a 10% whitespace(I even shifted the art portion of the boxart to accommodate that.

I'll shoot this by our graphic artist (the person who created the logo guides) but it looks great to me.

Looks good, but needs a "HAS SOUND!" splash too :)
