Why Instant Action don't release an Android version of T2D?
I think that a lot of people will buy it...

I know. I just noticed that. I looked this up on Wikipedia and GarageGames became InstantAction last year.

Pretty much everyone within the company refers to our section as just Torque, not GarageGames, not TorquePowered, etc. We wouldn't mind if everyone outside the company started picking this up. It's already happening on the conference circuit.
@Andrea - The idea of supporting Android has certainly come up more than once. We are just at the point where we cannot support another platform that deviates from our main product line. We are in the process of merging all our engines, so creating a new platform would spread us even thinner than we already are.

@Kevin - Correct. The GarageGames brand has seen the sunset, only to be used for very specific products. InstantAction is the main company name, with three separate divisions. One of which is Torque. @Patrick - I don't follow. What do you mean?

@Michael: This will effect the price? I only need and use T2D and 100$ is a good price but if you merge al the engine i think that the price will be higher...

Better buy it while you can.

Pricing, availability, etc, are not available. The point I was getting at is that creating another engine to license (Android) would be counter-productive at this point.

@Andrea - We haven't gotten to that point yet. Right now we are focused on development. The priorities are to address long standing and critical issues with our current engines, while planning ahead for the merge and injecting pieces of code that will help with the merge.Pricing, availability, etc, are not available. The point I was getting at is that creating another engine to license (Android) would be counter-productive at this point.

If this new version will cost 1000$ or more I will looking for another 2D engine...

@Kevin: I agree with you... I think that TGB 1.75 will be the last version for me.If this new version will cost 1000$ or more I will looking for another 2D engine...

With the long silence with all things T2D lately, I'm worried that the direction we were previously presented has changed.
I was really taking a bit of a dig at Unity as they say their engine can be used to make 2d games but only provides a couple helper components to lock the camera/actors to an axis.

I don't think merge all the engine is a good idea...

We try to be very careful what we say and when we say it, since this industry and game technology is a fast moving and a fast changing one. We aren't ready to talk further about this, though (for what it's worth) I can say that our current direction, in my opinion, is the best for all of our products, our technology as a whole, and for all of our users. We haven't forgotten about any of our engines, though we are trying to ensure we not only address our current technology but are moving in a direction that reduces friction between our product development. The more efficient we can be at developing technology as a whole, between all of our products, the better product you get and it will result in faster and more updates and faster turn around.

Example: i want to build a 360 game? Ok, I pay for the 360 "license" then I'll be able to build 360 game. I want to build my game for iPhone? Ok I'll pay the iphone "license" etc...

I think that a single engine is something good but the building process must remain divided.Example: i want to build a 360 game? Ok, I pay for the 360 "license" then I'll be able to build 360 game. I want to build my game for iPhone? Ok I'll pay the iphone "license" etc...

Does anyone know for sure that T2D is still in development? I haven't heard anything about it in a long time.

Well, this is getting complicated. Do I call you InstantAction, GarageGames, or what? And will this affect the Torque splashscreen you have to put at the beginning of your games?
