How do you release the mouse?

Ok,

I can't find in my books how to toggle the mouse on and off for control. So instead of it doing the mouselook instead its free... anyone have the command handy?

So you mean showcursor(); hidecursor()? kind of commands?
Perhaps a quick search for showCursor might give you the answers you ask:
