Seems like Heavies are getting love -- been awhile since I playe

I fired up the game after a long hiatus and found that I had to readjust my old playing style. I noticed that the new Greg bot was rocking the server and another human player outfitted in a lighttank. Traditionally I'm a Light tank player so naturually I figured I could pick on heavy tanks for easy kills like in the past... Boy I was in for a surprise. The Heavy tanks were rocking me. I was finally able to come up with a very chicken strategy to deal with the heavies.... shoot for a distance, sneak up behind (pretty hard) and run like hell if the Greg bot locks on to you. I noticed heavies (in the few games I played) had incredible sniping distance which really put the light tank at a disadvantage. However, after I was able to get readjusted I was able to become a formible challange although the Greg bot beat everyone else on the server with an outstanding 15 kills against my measley second place 9 kills.
My question is when did this change come about?

Its fun actually trying to go toe-to-toe with newer heavy tank bots with a light tank. You can just spin around and pull drive bys and dog 'em as easily as before. Generally I avoid facing off head to head with skilled heavy tanks now just try and soften 'em up when they're sniping to keep 'em moving. Its nice to see more servers on and more players... just wish there were a few more "non-demo" players to test my Light vs Heavy skills on. I tried the heavy tank again observing techniques used by skilled human and CPU players but I just can't aim well enough to be effective and I do agree, the Demo players sure like taking on the heavy.

It takes someone with precision aiming which I don't have to man the Heavy effectively. Now my arch nemesis is the Greg bot, which functions all too much like another Greg who I know all to well and locks onto a player won't give it up on the kill. Don't get me wrong, the light tanks are fun for cruising around and "ambulance chasing", but the gun on the heavy can be deadly.
