Venting

So I do not play very often, but when I do play I really like playing scum. And team scrum is even better. Think Tanks is a great 30 minute (umm, sometimes a 2 hour) diversion that lets me reset my mind so I can get back to work.
So scrum games have become lame. Particularly today when a user decided to just grab the scrum and hide on the side of the map. It was very anti-social and basically made the rest of the tanks on the field miserable. Perhaps this guy was bored, grieving the death of his dog or having a mental break -- regardless the rest of us wanted to play scrum, and the behavior was downright childish.
So how do we deal with this without resorting to name calling or picking on the anti-social tank? Do we all just leave the game when this happens? Yea, s/he'll come back but I would hope eventually they would stop.
As for the other gripes most players have (camping, stupid demos, etc) -- they don't bother that much, and I tend to think it adds to the game. But when a very skilled player decides to be an ass, well that bothers me, and it certainly does not add anything to the game.

Take em as they come Jimmy.. there will always be griefers.. just learn to ram them off the cliff from above.. like I did with macman.

I have to agree.. one sour egg will spoil the whole game.. however, this behavior is not new... I remember along time ago.. ok a couple of months.. when a certain (DEMO)Macman used to do the same thing.. running with the scrum.. diving off the closest cliff.. hanging from the cliff... yes he was a pain.. but since then he has matured, actually purchased the game, and become a good player. Take em as they come Jimmy.. there will always be griefers.. just learn to ram them off the cliff from above.. like I did with macman.

It took me a couple hours to get the tape on correctly, but now I'm all set for the next time this happens. Watch out!
(PS, it makes reading email and replying to this forum a bit difficult)

Don't get too excited. I hear he's selling a piece of scotch tape with a bulls-eye scratched on to it. The instructions (which for some reason are in chinese and printed on really thin paper), tell you to place the tape on your screen and use it as a way orientate your tank for ramming. It took me a couple hours to get the tape on correctly, but now I'm all set for the next time this happens. Watch out!

Seems all I'm playing is Scum or team scum. I've finally found why I hate playing Tally_ho. We are opposites in style. I would much rather take a loose ball and run it home. Best .. shoot it free, grab and run or better yet be the first to the ball. For Tally, he uses the bump and run score method. Most flustrating. Think that is why I single him out and just shoot him. Very satisfying... I don't think I ever see him chasing the ball. Last night I was really pissed. Couldn't even stay alive long enough to shoot him.- PREY
