To carry on the spirit of today's Dev Snapshot, we'd all like to see what your "offices" look like. Mine definitely fits in the category of "office" rather than office. There are actually two companies at work here... my own and my roommate's company (which simply does schoolwork). This is a snapshot of a near-climax in messiness. I'll probably whittle those piles down somewhat soon, but who knows.

One PC and two Hitachi SuperScan Elite 21" monitors. Dual Cards, one GeForce ti 4400 (left monitor) and an GeForce2 MX (right monitor) The PC is a dell, the laptop is a Mac. Offscreen is another old laptop (a dell Inspiron). The samll monitor is a 8" Sony PVM (Shielded) that I can use to play games on the Playstation or DVDs (to distract me while I am working). In that shot, I am playing Jak & Daxter.

things havnt changed so much in that regard... moved some consoles around and got a gamecube, my collection of games grew a bit. Heres a couple pics taken this morning on my webcam
thats actualy one computer with duel monitors, the monitors are just somwhat far apart, I got two 19inchers hooked up to a athlon xp2600+, 1024mb of pc2700, asus nforce2, TI4600. Off to the side I have a laptop in case I ever leave this room ;)

Oh boy! ok, heres a year and a half old shot of me standing in front of my "office"things havnt changed so much in that regard... moved some consoles around and got a gamecube, my collection of games grew a bit. Heres a couple pics taken this morning on my webcam

Today I added 2 more monitors to the setup so I've got 2 15in on either side of my 19in Slyvania F97. Im liking the whole thing but I just wish my S3 Trio had more memory for the left side monitor :( Oh well such is life...
Btw the pics were taken last night after rearranging my "office."

I think I'll do the reverse and *add* a lot of crap to my desks before taking pics. Tho, that might be difficult, they're pretty messy as it is ;-)

I think the last few pics have had a massive tidy up before taking the picture. Behind the camera is probably a huge pile of crap waiting to be amassed back on the desk.I think I'll do the reverse and *add* a lot of crap to my desks before taking pics. Tho, that might be difficult, they're pretty messy as it is ;-)

Ahahaha, nah I had just finished rearranging my office and wanted to send some pics to my friend who just moved to FL to goto FullSail down there so I got my digi cam and took some, and then posted them on this thread.
But I added alot of stuff today to the desk and will post new pics on monday, I must say the new setup its quite sexy ( trimon ).

Maritime Source is currently an I.T consulting company (because that's what's currently paying the bills) but I'm working on a strategy to go fulltime with indie game development. Anyway, here's the "office" I'm working out of (with conveniently integrated sleeping quarters)

This is all just temporary. As a mega-international-conglomerate we'll soon be wasting some of our backyards' 3rd World little countries in order to build our brand new main office, properly named "Freedom Bedroom". Some brown-skinned locals will die, but hell, eggs must be broken...

There are other things in the room such as a very large, comfortable leather chair, and a conveniently sized refrigerator.
No plants... yet. I'm working on ordering a couple of bonsai. The room seems dark because the picture was taken around 4:30 AM central. The over-bright effect is from the camera's light-amplification "night-vision" feature.

@Brad.. wow nice chair!! Thats definately left over from the dot com boom... 1500 bucks per chair. I sat in quite a few during the boom. Very nice.

I do like this thread, it somehow makes me feel that i'm less alone. Like i'm not the only person with an 'office' that looks like it could be tidied up with a hand grenade :)
I just spent the last few hours 'sorting' my office out for a pic, and moving all those 'critical' software boxes into the loft, I found some gems in the clear out. Suffice to say I didn't finish, but Earthsiege ran great on one of my old laptops :)
