2 Suggestions

Still hope GG add 2 features into the next release.

1. The international character display and input support;

2. The game can be complied to a browser-play only package, with a build-in official database(like mysql) engine if possible.

Thanks.

I'll second the ysun's suggestions here.

Perhaps #2 is very game / genre specific, but #1 is a very valid request, I'd like to second that as well.

T3D supports international character display. Torsion does not, and that's the problem. I'm pretty sure that if you save your scripts as UTF-8, international characters will display as long as the profile fonts have them. Same if you load strings from UTF-8 text files.

Input is a problem indeed. I remember someone posted an IME resource a few years ago, it would be great to have that included.

Maybe GG doesn't have big interest to put their eyesight on the global market. I bought TGE because GG said it's multilingual, later I bought TGEA, there was no change on the 'multilingual', last year I bought T3D, no doubt still no changes. It seems the GG bosses just don't care.

@ysun, that's not true. Torque 3D is a lot better in terms of UTF8 and UTF16 than its predecessor. As Manoel stated, Unicode character display is now supported. It's only the input that is missing still.

I'm sure this thread is being watched. Perhaps you could rename it to have a title such as "[Torque 3D 1.1 Beta 1 BUG] Unicode input not working" which would definitely get better attention than "2 Suggestions".

@Konrad,

Thanks for the suggestion. I will try to post it as a bug report. ;)
