V12 Portability

by Jason E.J. Manaigre · in Torque Game Engine · 08/13/2001 (1:59 pm) · 6 replies

Hello all, been searching throughout the site and for the life of me I can't find a listing of what platforms the v12 engine will run on?

So far I've seen PC (obviously) and Mac (how far along is the mac portability)

How about consoles? Will the engine evolve to work on the xbox/ps2/gcube etc

Thanks guys

Big Jay

Hey Ryan, does it already run on those platforms, or are those to be added to the wish list...

Dedicated servers run on both Linux and OpenBSD. I'm still working on the clients.

For now, we are concentrating on the desktop platforms, i.e. PC, Linux, Mac. It is hard enough to make a game for those platforms, and the others have additional requirements enforced by the manufacturers.

I have a few links stashed away somewhere to sites that go into great detial about porting to Dreamcast. Yes, it's a dead console, but the people that have one still love it.
