Thread Hall of Fame

I think it would be interesting to have a Thread "Hall of Fame". It would just be a page that links to the best threads that have been posted in the past.

Here's why I think it's a good idea:

a) people won't keep asking some of the same questions
b) people can read through the hall of fame to obtain alot of good information without having to sort through all the old threads
c) it will reduce the frequency with which people have to point out old threads to other people who ask about them

Which threads go in the hall of fame should probably be chosen by the administrators of each category of threads. Implementing some sort of rating system seems like a waste of time, as there shouldn't be too many threads in the hall of fame anyways. Only the most useful threads should be put in the hall of fame so that it's as valuable a reference as possible.

It used to only search in the topics, not the contents of the posts...
so to collect the "best of GG threads", we just launched the "Torque snipits database" where everybody can post: tork.zenkel.com/tge_snipits
It has categories, a fulltext search, rating system, printer-friedly versions, PDF output, etc.
cya there! :)
