Super Streets disappearing - RESOLVED
by Tobias B. · in Torque 3D Professional · 04/07/2010 (12:13 pm) · 10 replies
Hi together,
I have a road created with the road editor. After creating the road (length about 200m) all is fine.
After saving and reload of the mission the road is visible, but disappears when the coordinate system of the road is almost at the lower side of the screen. Maybe this has something to do with a clipping approach. I will try to add some pictures, but this has to wait until tomorrow. In the editor I can see the correct box of the road, but the shape is not rendered any more.
I tried to create a new road, because I thought I´m just doing the wrong things, but after saving and reloading the mission this road also disappears.
Thanks for your help,
regards Tobias

it´s a mesh road, but the problem you had, seems to be the same one. The road starts clipping in and out, depending on the viewpoint.
There seems to be a calculation whilst loading, because a new or edited road doesn´t show this behaviour.
I will search the forum for clipping errors then!

Find this now in the "pending" section - can we mark it as resolved?

Threads are being moved to resolved after the bug has been verified as fixed by QA. I actually think this one went through yesterday's regression, I'm reviewing the results this morning.

Can we provide any help, e.g. to reproduce the bug?

@Scott: Could you give a short comment again? Thanks!

Uhmmm.... is there still a chance to see the problem fixed in T3D 1.1 final? We are presently limited to T3D 1.0.1 where the problem does not exist, but it would be great to use the upcoming T3D 1.1 features.@Scott: Could you give a short comment again? Thanks!

Could please anyone from the developer team give a comment on that problem? Are you working on it or is it of lower priority? Could you even reproduce it or does it only happen in our configuration?
Sorry for insisting, but we are aware of the problem since 4 months now. I'm afraid to get a final T3D 1.1 still being not usable for us which would be a pity.
edit: Just saw the "Torque 3D Status - 7/29/2010". Impressive work which makes me really looking toward the new version. Come on, please don't leave us out...

Ahm... yeah. Since a number of bugs is fixed in the meantime, but this topic remains at the top of the pending list, it seems to be a bigger problem. Could please anyone from the developer team give a comment on that problem? Are you working on it or is it of lower priority? Could you even reproduce it or does it only happen in our configuration?

Anyway, mindless ramblings aside, this one is fixed in 1.1 Beta 2.

Sorry about that Tobias. There are a lot of tickets that I need to update the threads associated with them but I just haven't gotten to them yet, which is part of some refinements to the process that we're making following the release of this beta.Anyway, mindless ramblings aside, this one is fixed in 1.1 Beta 2.

we are in the gear, waiting for the beta...
We´ll check it immediately after release, because we need the Beta2 features and streets urgently!
Thanks again!

I can't remember if I submitted it as a bug back then or not, I think someone else already had if I remember correctly. I'll double check to make sure.
