Hi...
Is there tutorial about adding LOD levels to a max model to export as .dae ?
I export models as .dts with LOD levels but when I try to export .dae there is no LOD on it. There is a tool (Multiveres Export Tool) to export .dae files from Max but I can not export my models with LOD's. I try to find out and searching on net but I can not find a damn thing about it !
Is there a simple way to export .dae files with LOD's ?
Thanks for advance...

Hi, i personally like this tutorial www.biomassthegame.com/j20090721.html, it is for Blender, but you can easily adapt it to 3DMax. Just press H button and you will see your hierarchy, create dummies, meshes, link them like in tutorial, that's all. Works for me.

This uses the DTS utility so there's less manual messing with the nodes and hierarchy, and more make-export-results.

Just made a quick 3Dmax tutorial for my blog: Creating LoDs in Torque3DThis uses the DTS utility so there's less manual messing with the nodes and hierarchy, and more make-export-results.

That tutorial is geared towards adding meshes in general, but the function for adding in LODs is about the same. Also, this thread I created has a lot more script on that front. Hope that helps.
