TGE 1.5.2 License

I was wondering what the license is for educational use. Is it for non-commercial use or is it the same as an indie license where you can sell what you make with it as long as the income doesn't exceed a certain amount. Asking as someone from my class was wondering about this.

The answer is going to depend on what the agreement is for your school. I know that some schools have it so that their students get copies of the engine licensed to them, and some schools only have valid license for within their computer lab. I'll have to ping Davey Jackson to find out.

Hi David,
Our educational license is for non-production classroom use. Students who want to relase games they created using an educational license, need to purchase "indie" licenses for each member of their team who worked on the project. The one exception to this is student contests, such as the IGF or SxSW. Students are permitted to use educational licenses to participate in student contests, but are required to purchase indie or studio licenses if they publish their games.
