Error upgrading to 1.02 (Linux)

by Patrick Draper · in ThinkTanks · 06/19/2003 (3:48 am) · 3 replies

Hi, I got a message to upgrade to 1.02, so I clicked on 'yes'.

The game exits to the command line, and says:

WARNING: Platform::openWebBrowser: couldn't launch a web browser

My web browser is 'mozilla'. I ran a strace on the game to figure out what it's doing that it can't open mozilla, but without success. Can anyone help me upgrade?

Thanks.

Is "mozilla" in your path?

Mozilla was in my path now. The message changed to:

/usr/local/mozilla/mozilla: /usr/local/mozalla/run-mozilla.sh: No such file or directory
/usr/local/mozilla/mozilla: exec: /usr/local/mozalla/run-mozilla.sh: cannot execute: No such file or directory

If you notice, the directory path is given as 'mozalla' instead of mozilla. I made a symlink with the misspelled name, and thinktanks was able to find the mozilla script.

Patrick, you can also just go to "My Garage" on this site and you will see a link to get the most recent version of the game. The upgrade button just provides a more direct method.
