Random groups of lines on my terrain mesh and buildings

I love the torque engine but I haven't had time to play with it much being a senior in college. What I was wondering about is groups of multi-colored lines I get in my terrain mesh and sometimes buildings. I'm using a HP Pavillion laptop with a 1.8 p4 and a ATI Mobility M6 32mg graphics card. I thought I read somewhere about a problem with ATI cards but I am not sure.

If this is a problem that can be solved without assembly programming I am more than willing to help. I can program in a lot of languages but not assembly. If this is a well known problem or if someone has some pointers on where to start digging for answers it would be much appreciated.

In my exeperiance the ATI Rage Mobility line has produced some of the most horrid rendering errors I've ever seen, so it's more likely than not a driver issue which is pretty much out of your ability to fix. (Other than to try different drivers)

I have a HP pavilion ze4145 too, and have the same problem. It looks like little rainbow bands across the ground. I have this problem in Windows, but haven't tried it in Linux yet. Unfortunately, I can only get vesa support in Xwindows for this stupid ATI chipset.

Thanks for the feedback everybody. Since it's the video card or it's driver I'm going to just work on my demo reel anyway and use other computers for image capture. I'm going to make sure this doesn't happen again by testing the next laptop/computer I buy with the game engine.
