hey everyone I'm new here but I'm wondering if this is a good engine to make a game since I'm planning to do so for my senior project, I am also cerious if there is a way to get it for a cheaper price since I am on somewhat a low budget here, thanks and please reply back

If you are wanting something a little more challenging and powerful, you can invest in Torque 3D. That also ships with editors and scripting.
Both engines have demos you can try out to see how you like them.
