Mod Repository

Just curious, but does GG or someone else plan to set up a repository? I have a few mods I've done so far (like changed the credits page to have my team's credits, with a button across the bottom with GarageGames Credits, which brings up the original credits...)

We have a place to put this stuff... hard to have a community if you can't share (:

Thanks!

Err, that was a typo, it shoulda said we NEED a place, not we HAVE a place...

All I have are about 5 freeware websites I can post stuff too, but they all have bandwidth restrictions ):

Anyone here affiliated with any of the Mod Community websites, that we could set up on? Maybe PlanetTribes or something?

I could set an account up at GameZNet if anyone likes. Just fire me a mail.

I'm willing to provide webspace hosting on my machine for v12 oriented third party stuff at www.mainecoon.net - it's got no bandwidth limit and it's my machine running Apache on a LinuxPPC install, no banners, etc...

email me at chris@mainecoon.net with what you want to host.

PS. I will not run or allow servers.

Sounds very cool. Yeah we'll definitely need/have a GG credit button on TSRR. :)

I've also written a quick script to give you the standard Exit: Are you sure? Yes/No dialog... Made it as a text control, so you can imbed html with graphics... since my game is a western, it has a "What, are ya yella?" with a graphic below it in the text box, and two buttons "I reckon I am" and "I ain't YELLER!", but I'm sure you can figure it out (:

Let me know when a repository goes online, I'll start putting up some of these small code snippets... nothing stellar, but at least they're a starting point for learning...

MGO.NETwork will have one up shortly, I need to contact Tim, and Rick today, or if you you guys read this post answer here :) on how they want the security on a MOD site? From what I take it only people with the SDK can download the mod info right now? or can anyone download it?

I will also email you guys, either way we should have a basic site up soon.

A mod repository would be a very good idea too. GG could probably host that as they are getting close to being able to host webbies (apparently!)

Also there is already somewhere you can put small (or big) snippets of code up if they are designed to help people learn to program for the V12 engine. it's located at http://v12.ultimagroup.com

This is not exactly a MOD repository, but it does have storage for public code and snippets with a small first tut: http://v12.ultimagroup.com/

Never said it was for holding mods :)
