Terrain Painter Question

Hello, sorry if this has been answered before but I did some forum searching yet found no useful information. Anyway, is there some method I can use to make this look more professional?
From what I understand, opacity was not implemented because the editor can now use more than eight materials, so they are using a different system.

Ahh I just downloaded beta 1.1 and its brush blends :) thanks!
