is it possible to convert from COLLADA to TDS/TSQ for TGE usage

I'm having a horrible time with some models I just paid $80 for ... a male and female fantasy warrior
It has TDS files for torque format as well as Collada ... but I am using TGE so I tried to load the TDS files.
However, the units show up as tiny as an ant -- and there are no animations.
The female supposedly has animations built in but only "ambient" appears in the Show Tool.
While the male warrior has a single DSQ file w/ loaded into Show Tool only have one animation named _001 ... but when you play it, it plays all the units animations.
A horrible mess ... for the non-modeler at least.
SO -- I know T3D uses COLLADA format -- is there a way for me to import these COLLADA files, and properly export them into DSQ and DTS files ?
Any helpful comments welcome -- Should I name the website I got them from ? Already sent them multiple emails ...

Re format conversion:
Ultimate Unwrap 3D, though officially being a UV mapping tool (never used that part of it), is really hard to beat for format conversion. It supports just about any 3D format you can think of and works with rigs, animation, materials, etc.

If all the animations are in a single DSQ file, I think that makes the DSQ pretty much useless. T3D has functionality for splitting up animations, however TGE does not, unless you add the functionality yourself.
So it seems you will need to export them properly yourself, or ask the seller to do so, since if you haven't missed anything these models do not seem to have been exported properly.
Naming the site and models would help us see how the seller describes things, and perhaps someone here has experience with the site or even the specific models also.
ADD: And to answer your main question :) Converting from collada is certainly possible. I know it easely can be done with Max and Maya, but someone else will have to answer if cheaper apps can do it. I don't think milkshape is a good bet at importing collada. Didn't you get any other source formats?
