Hey guys.
Im new to torque and slightly more experienced with Maya and ive been trying to export .dts files from maya into torque. I went and found the files on this site for the .dts converter, but when i try to launch maya and go into the plug-in manager, i cant check "load", only "auto-load". I have all the proper files in the proper spots as far as i can tell, but it gives me an error.
The error is: '//Error: The specified procedure could not be found.'
I tried using the dts utility to export files, but i guess it doesnt know how to do that yet because of the above error.
Thanks for all the help guys.
By the way im running XP SP3, Windows 32x, Maya 2009 Unlimited.

I read that thread and the guy who posted the link made it seem like the dts converter would work with 2010, so i thought itd work with 2009.
If not dts, can you please let me know how i can get maya files into Torque using maya 2009?

There's always Collada, but that's not ideal for Character shapes. It's great for everything else though: props, interiors, exteriors, doodads, anything.
Also, you need to TRIPLE check to make sure you're putting the file in the right spot. Files placed incorrectly can possibly be auto loaded but not loaded. Where exactly did you place the exporter?

Would you know of any actual working links to either Collada or DTS exporters that work with 2k9?
Ive checked around on the site and all of the links i find are broken.

Placement right now is more or less irrelevant because the exporters arent compatible with the version of maya i have.Would you know of any actual working links to either Collada or DTS exporters that work with 2k9?

If I'm right, you may have to find a version of the maya2dtsExporter compiled exactly for maya 2009. what you described is what happens when you mismatch exporter and maya versions.

there is an exporter for maya 2009 - Maya2DTS_All_Versions plus 2009_maya2dtsExporter_x32 and it works
