Could someone respond to this post. I already own the All in One Programming book and The Game Programmer's Guide to Torque. I've read both books. I would like to know if I will be able to jump right into Torque 3D without any problem.

PLEASE HELP!!!

I own them as well, and to me ressources, forum and online info have been a source to much more usable information...

With the exception of paths, the scripting references with the books should convert well to Torque 3D. However, TGE and Torque 3D are structured quite differently, so your mileage will vary depending on your experience with converting simple code references.

They was to me (and I was blank, but persistent) yes, but David covers it really good with;

If your totally blank about C++/Torquescript, they do give a eased up experience with coping how to solve things, which can be a pest 'finding' and 'coping as its evolved' in the forum, ressources and blogs.

The books are very useful for understanding scripting and the logic of how then engine functions a lot has changed and much of what is in the books are no longer valid but it will give you a core understanding of how the engine works and some basic understanding of torque script. It is not however a buy these books and you will have mastered the sdk, a lot of study and experimentation will still be necessary.
