T2D for Apple's tablet computer (iPad)

Yes I'm starting the thread before the thing's even announced - I'm that keen.

I'm guessing that the guys at Garage Games know as much as the rest of use do about the tablet (ie nothing) but I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that it won't be a HUGE effort to get iTGB working on the tablet.

If it turns out that the thing runs something like iPhoneOS, can we expect GG to support it? Will there be a separate license fee or will it be included in iTGB?

@Michael - Have fun with your ipad. I'm still waiting for the mail man.

Please keep us posted on the iPad update.

Small problem...I do not have Snow Leopard on my Macbook Pro, which means I cannot compile iPad apps. Can't do anything about this tonight. I'll have to see if I can pick up the software tomorrow, or wait until I get to work on Monday to test the new code on our work machine.

No…Snow Leopard? Your system is so 2009! Come on, it's not even $30 to upgrade :)
(Or are you broke after the iPad purchase?)

Haven't tried developing in iTGB yet for it, but WOW.

I was only half-excited to get the device yesterday, more of a work thing for me than personal. But now that I have the iPad and have been using it my jaw is open.

We will be moving our apps to the iPad post-haste and I'm already reconfiguring our next game to the iPad - I think this thing is going to be as big as the phone and maybe bigger given the lack of monthly cost or carrier hassle.

I hope iTGB is supported for the iPad soon.

Michael - gives us an update, I won't get to this till later in the week.
