"Online-games 'o' meter"...

I was just playing online for the first time this morning and I had a blast !! Since then I have been checking for any online players every 20:th minute, just to find someone to game with.

I wish there was a program you could have running in the background which could notify you when there was other players online. A small flashing icon in the system-tray or whatever. I don't want to miss any online gaming opportunities again !!

hmmmm... maybe i could do something like that, just connect to GG main server,
ask list of servers, check which ones have more than x players :)
I would need to know the protocol though...

Well, that certainly would brighten up my day to say the least ! There would probably be a lot more people interested in such a program besides me !! They could also implement such a feature into the game itself. Since I'm going for gold on every level (challenge), I rather continue with that when there's no people online, than hosting games waiting for people to join.

Go here www.gnometech.com and open up the master server monitor on the left hand column. From here you can see how many people are playing a number of games, including Orbz.

Thanks Mike, good suggestion. Gnometech rocks! I also know of a Trillian plug-in that is being developed which will monitor GG games and give notifications when things happen. Your right Michael, alot of people would dig this for all the multi-player GG games.

I mentioned this in the other thread, but I'll mention it again here. We're trying some regular play-times for Orbz where we can all get together and work on our ranks:

Tuesday 9PM Eastern
Saturday 2PM Eastern

Hope to see you online!

Also, I know it's not as fun but the Botz in Orbz get more difficulty as you play them and can be brutal competitors. You can add Botz using the Menu button in the Online Lobby.

Tuesday . . . today is Tuesday!

I want to buy this right now, install it on the work computer, and join you guys for a round.

But then I remembered why I haven't bought Orbz yet: I am behind on my work, I have no time to game, and my home computer died recently, leaving me with a POS gfx card both at home and at work.

:( Sucks to be me today.

Just a reminder that we will be gathering every Tuesday and Saturday, not just this week. And yes, it was a good turnout - had most of the top playeres in there which gave us a chance to beat them!

Astro: burn in hell. And die. :(

I am too damn busy for *anything*, even writing this post, all the way up through Sunday afternoon. I will have a couple of hours free on Sunday, but I will spend them curled in a fetal position in the corner, weeping in despair at my Orbzless state. Oh, and then I will take a nap, because I will be pretty fucking tired by Sunday afternoon.

And even if I can make it through this week and have a couple of free hours . . . my gaming computer is fucked up. >:( I loved the Orbz demo, but I don't think I could stand to play Orbz on my 'other' machine.

In conclusion, I hate you all. Nab a star for me.
