Stuck between surfaces of bricks?

by Ann Burgess · in Marble Blast · 05/29/2003 (7:10 am) · 3 replies

We're on advanced level 4 (Leap of Faith), and got stuck in the space where the support adjoining the final platform meets the wall. On trying to bounce, the marble entered the solid structures of the scene, unable to escape from between the top and bottom surfaces of the floors and walls. Hitting the finish platform from underneath didn't work. We couldn't jump out (lots of stars and noise) - we could roll to the wall and jump there, but couldn't go beyond the edge of the floor. There seems to be no way to escape and end the level. Is this a planned hazard in the game, or have we found a small gap in the resistance of the surface texture?

Sounds like a gap in the geometry, Ann. I didn't make Leap of Faith but I do have a copy of Kevin's files. I'll take a look and see if it can be fixed for the next MB update.

That seems to be unusual marble behaviour. When it gets stuck between two moving platforms/a moving platform and a wall, the marble gets stuck for a second then shoots out incredibly fast. It's quite fun, sometime I do it purposely.

I think what Ann is saying is that it is actually falling inside the geometry and getting stuck, rather than getting stuck between two moving objects. Is that right?
