Must Own TGE to purchase MACK?

by Henry Shilling · in Torque 3D Professional · 01/09/2010 (6:43 pm) · 7 replies

I went to purchase the Male Advanced Char Kit and was unable to as it said Must own TGE.

Doesn't this work with T3D Binary? I was also planning on using it with TX3D and Spriteworks to make some 2D spritesheets. Was this a mistake or is there some underlying source code necessity to own TGE.

They are working on a update to get it working in T3D but it don't work in T3D yet, and I do not know when it will be finished.

I know why its takeing them so long to get it working in T3D. The rigged format of the character can't be exported to .DAE format so they have to remake the hole character again.

I have tryed to find a export to get it in DAE but there is non for the program they used to make the characters.

I think it's just a case of the product not being updated. Buying the full version of T3D also adds TGEA and TGE, so everything was fine. T3D Binary doesn't include other products. Just an oversight, I'm sure, so contact someone directly via the support e-mail.

MACK and FACK include some engine changes which is why it would still have the TGE requirement on it.

@Brandon
The DTS format still exists in T3D, and honestly is still the recommended format for characters.

but they have not been able to get thier engine changes ported to make the mack pack work. I would wait if you plan on using it with T3D

I grabbed Adam pack and seriously it does what I want. The only issue is It seems like it will be harder to make modifications.

@Ronny
Think this was intentional as TGE and TGEA are source-included products.
