Prerequisite to Torque --- Visual C++ installation problem

by Oswald Mballo · in General Discussion · 01/02/2010 (10:31 pm) · 2 replies

Torque runs on top of Windows Visual and XNA libraries, making installing these necessary.

My problem comes from the installation of visual c++. Microsoft makes it impossible to download everything on an usb-key and offline install on dev computer. I have different computers some of which are dedicated for offline-experiences only.

My question is to know whether there is a way i can purchase Visual C++ CD-ROM for offline installation or do you have any idea that can workaround this obstacle?

Thank you

What product are you talking about?
If you're talking about T3D, you can get DirectX here:

www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=B66E14B8-8505-4B17-BF80-EDB2DF...

And Visual C++ Express here:

www.microsoft.com/express/download/offline.aspx

in downloadable versions, that you can copy to a USB for offline installation.

Thank you Jaimi,

I want to learn T3D/TGB and Torque X, same time.
