Examples and demos don't exist

This is probably a really stupid question, but I was trying to follow the documentation, but when I got to the point of making the first tutorial, I reilized that I only had the phys-x demo and the fps starter kit example. I would really like to follow the documentation, but I was wondering if it was full (1000$) version only, and if not, how I could get the files that I need.
I am using the bianary version right now, and I really need help :(

I bought torque 3d for $100 and could not get through the first chapter of the documentation because the assets mentioned were not included... yet. So I thought I'd spend a couple of weeks digging through the posts to see if anyone has created any basic tutorials for how to use this software. I even considered buying assets and projects that I could use to study basic functionality but all the ones on this site do not seem to be for torque 3d. I feel like I am completely dead in the water here.

@Russell: There are external sites which do Torque-friendly assets. Any textures will work just fine, of course. The different types of maps (specular, bump, whatever) likewise. Some great packs are unfortunately not updated completely for T3D (anything with DIFs, if I got it right). DTS models work just fine, though.

I could probably knock together whatever assets I need in 3ds max 2010 and photoshop if that is what I needed. Unfortuneatley, what I need is assurance from the development team that they are in touch with their own documentation and that the assets discussed are available. They are not which suggests there are larger problems with this game engine like team communication and realistic goal design and achievement. Perhaps Torgue would like to pursue the goal of being the first game engine that uses a 3d game to create 3d games thus bypassing c++, syntax errors, out of date documentation and a demoralized client base who has been waiting for 2 months for the doc updates. There are 1500 planet killer asteroids in our solar orbit. Perhaps I'll try creating a game for this using the Trinigy Vision Engine while I'm waiting for the Torque docs.
