by Sanyaade Adekoya · in Torque Game Engine · 12/17/2009 (9:08 pm) · 15 replies

Hello Everybody and Garagegames!

Can anybody please tell me how I can download the Torque Game Engine and Torque Game Advanced from my account. I subscribed to Torque Game Engine, Torque Game Advance and Torque 3D but now I dont get the link to Torque Game Engine and Torque Game Advanced any more now. This has now create problems on the projects that I have on the two kits. I normally download all my subscription packages from my account monthly ( as a backup)for my various projects.

I saw the following banner message:

"Looking for TGE or TGEA? These engines now appear under the "Previous Versions" section of the Torque 3D download page. TGE also appears on the Torque 3D for iPhone download page."

The links mentioned above are not working and are dead links.

Kindly help me out! I will be grateful for your help. GarageGames I need your help! Please I need these links to be active. Thanks in advanced.

God blesses!!!

Best regards,
Sanyaade

There is still a Download link for mine, even though there is no link to the product. I've also verified that these links do in fact work.

Hi there! I am also having this message. I sent an e-mail to ask for assistance. Did this get resolved for you?

Many thanks,
Todd

Hi Todd,

Yes! I got it resolved by simply using Firefox browser instead of Internet Explorer to access my account link. It was internet explorer browser's limitations and has nothing to do with Garagegames.

Hope this help!

Happy New Year,

God blesses!!!

Best regards,
Sanyaade

@Todd

You don't seem to own any licenses. Is this on a different account?

@Scott
Do the licenses expire? it was my understanding that they didn't when i bought mine (well actually my dad bought it for me :\ ) but i cant see the download link or even that i own the engine anymore on this account.
Its taken me this long to finally get good at blender and im still working on scripting (one man team ftw) but i would appreciate having a link now that im finally "ready" to start making games.
Otherwise i have to find a disk i made forever ago and its probably got a couple of scratches on it by now.

@Sanyaade :

You are not from Ogun State by any chance, are you? or your parents?

Josh - licences don't expire, but it sounds like your dad purchased the engine with his own account, which you'll need to log in to to re-download the SDK.

Thats right. i guess i forgot that little detail when i tried logging in before.
THIS account has torque and the links apparently work, thanks for the help.

Just remember you and your dad can't share a license, but from your post it sounds like he bought it for you and just made an account to do it. You might want to change your account name to just yours so there won't be any misunderstanding down the road.

well that just brings me to another question (and i probably shouldn't even ask since I'm already so many miles away from the topic)
Does a 13 year old 3D artist need a TGE license to sell his artwork to other TGE owners? That was the original intention when i put his name on there even though we haven't made any deals yet since we're both just clearing the learning curb.

If anyone is annoyed at my questions then i apologize AND thank you for your help thus far.

Sorry to borrow your thread but does this mean that old TGE 1.4.2 owners cannot update to 1.5.2?

@Nmuta Jones

Yes! I am from Ogun State. I was born in Ibadan but my parents are from Ososa (Mum) and my Dad from Igbile. Are you Nigerian plus from Ogun state?

Stay blessed!!!

@Joshua
A license isn't required to sell artwork, unless that artwork requires source code changes.

@J
On a case by cases basis, we sell licenses to teams that are far along in development and need more licenses to add people to their team. However we are not selling any new licenses.

Ah. No, I am African American. But I saw your last name -- Adekoya ....and I made an educated guess.

I did my junior year at the University of Ibadan. My roomate was from Ogun state and he had your last name. Na wa o.
