ok, I know this is a real newb question, and I'm probably gonna feel stupid when I find the answer, but here it goes... in the docs it says you can find map2dif.exe in the tools folder of torque "C:\GarageGames\torque\tools\map2dif.exe", however I cant find this file either in the tools folder or in the map2dif folder, could someone please tell me where to get this file?

You have to complie it. It should be on the workspace list when you load torque using VC++. Just compile it by it's self.

Warning the default map2dif (if they haven't fixed it yet) doesn't use floating point number and will not export complicated objects.
The solution: MarbleBlast MAP2DIF .

I use it and never have problems with corners and stuff not lining up.

They might have changed it by now though I haven't kept up on the changelist.

hmmm....that link wasn't available, is it still working? or is the current map2dif acceptable? I'm just about ready to test some construction in VHE...finished a test .wad this morning and wondering which map2dif to use. Thanks.

Ya its around if you look under the MarbleBlast section you'll find a link to it. I think my bandwidth is up to its limit.

Or you can download Constructor, its free (activation number under products>Torque Constructor) and can open Map and transfer it to dif. I use it because it has a built in build of map2dif. Worth a try.
