Hy,
I am thinking of upgrading to MB Gold. One question I couldn't find an answer to: is there any difference between the first 72 levels of MB and MB gold? If not...

The only addition to the original levels is the addition of Gold Times. These have essentially give players a benchmark for perfecting the level (Although I am sure that some of our players will find even more optimal routes ;) We also put in higher resolution grid textures, so all the levels look a bit sharper.

I think that the Marble Blast promo on .Mac may have had gold times, but not gold levels... can't remember though. Is that where you got the game?

I got mine on .Mac too! Do you know why this version isn't able to upgrade to the Gold levels. I have a hunch it's because we haven't purchased some kind of code. I want to play the Gold levels desparately, but I hate to have to buy the full version of Gold to do so, even though I think it's worth it.

We wanted to be able to give away marble blast for free to .mac users, but also wanted to have there be *some* incentive for people to purchase the game. Apple didn't want to just give away a demo version, so we ended up with a compromise that gave people more than a demo, but still gave us the possiblity of getting paid by those who really liked the game.

I think you have to blame our marketing dept and Apple for that one.We wanted to be able to give away marble blast for free to .mac users, but also wanted to have there be *some* incentive for people to purchase the game.
