Art Packs

What do you guys think of art packages?
Can you customize the artwork in them?
I'm asking this because :
1. I'm seriuosly thinking of buying the Stricks & Twigs packages, because I cannot design a tree worth a damn. The Createtree software I have now only does low-poly trees which are alright, but not cutting-edge, and soon, a person would get tired of seeing the same old tree?
2. I've just seen the RRGTS package from Aste, and the artwork looks good. My main thing is, if everybody would to buy the package, and everyone would use the models in their game, then all games produced with the package would look the same unless the artwork itself is customizable!
3. Are the packages just a collection of models and textures, or is it actually software to generate models! (Isn't that what Constructor is?)
4. Are the packages a collection of 3d scenes?

And RRGTS stands for Really Really Good Things Studio. Credit where credit is due. :)
Constructor should be regarded as a level-creation tool only. It is not "modeling" software and can't create anything near as sophisticated as a tree.
And check out Dexsoft's vegetation packs. Those guys are kicking out high-quality content packs left and right.

Take it from a guy who has spent two straight years making trees. Buy them. Trees are very complex and time-consuming to build. Spend your time making a game! :)And RRGTS stands for Really Really Good Things Studio. Credit where credit is due. :)

Make a good level, and no one will be paying attention to your trees. The best trees are the ones you don't notice. ;)

What I was getting at : if four or more developers use the same package for their game, a player playing say like "Four into death" (a fictional game I just made up) would say "Hey didn't I see that character in "Hot Fantasy" (another fictional game I just made up). He might ponder over that building he's entering and say he seen that somewhere before. Why bother paying money for this game if it is the same game I played before!

While i did focus on trees in my message, I had actually meant (yea trees) but also the buildings, textures, plat life, and even the human model packs. (Is it the Torque site thast advertises the Adam pack, the AVA pack and so on)What I was getting at : if four or more developers use the same package for their game, a player playing say like "Four into death" (a fictional game I just made up) would say "Hey didn't I see that character in "Hot Fantasy" (another fictional game I just made up). I think some packs are just designed to get you a functional character with source that you can use for prototyping - not meant to be used in the final game, necessarily.

Yeah they're just starting points and to be used mainly for prototyping. But you can use them, just retexture and modify them if you want them to have a different feel.

2. RRGTS is not from Aste, I believe it's from Alan James. The artwork is customizable if you have the appropriate tools. You can get a completely new look just by changing the textures.
3. Models, textures, and source objects. Not a generation tool.
4. Most have full scenes to show off the models.
