I have an older model nVidia graphics card. After I downloaded the demo, it crash right after switching to full-screen mode. I'm running XP Pro. I downloaded the latest Windows XP/2000 driver from nVidia and the problem was resolved. Just thought I'd share in case someone else runs into this.

1) Update your video drivers. Some of the video drivers that ship with XP appear to be buggy. Here is a link to a Microsoft Knowledge base entry indicating that SP1 is incompatible with some video drivers. This knowledge base entry also includes steps for updating your video card drivers. This seems to particularly be a problem with NVidia and Matrox cards.
2) Check for spyware. Found a number of reports of such crashes caused by spyware installed on people's systems. I use Adaware from Lavasoft and have had good luck with it. Even if spyware isn't causing your problem, it's always nice to clean out the ole system.
3) Find the application and select a different compatibility mode (I don't have XP available here, so maybe someone can supply more info on this one). To find the ThinkTanks application, simply right click on the desktop or start menu icon and select properties; from the properties dialog select "find target...". (Note: I'm not sure if you set compatibility mode on the exe or the shortcut. If someone can get me the correct info, I'll update this forum entry).
If none of these steps help, by all means email us at support@bravetree.com. It will also help if you send the .mdmp file if it was generated.
