Terrain holes (cutting for caves)

As the old posts about this dident focus around 'how to', Im making a new thread instead of adding to the old derailed ones.
Is there a way to actually 'do this', I saw Tom Spilman mention that the code is there but not exposed to the toolset yet. Where would one begin to look, and to apply, if such a feature was needed so much that a 'hack' is considered?

All I could find in the T3D application referring to emptySet is inside;
G:Library-TorqueCodeProjectsT3DEnginelibsdllinuxlibSDL-1.2.so.0
G:Library-TorqueCodeProjectsT3DEnginebingraphvizbinlibfreetype-6.dll
And not at all in;
picture of the editor
So I'm either really blind, or missing something (and its a brand new clean T3D install)

I did read that too previously, but looking for it I simply could not locate such a thing...All I could find in the T3D application referring to emptySet is inside;

The picture you show shows the terrain Painter active, not the terrain editor. The set empty tool is in the Terrain Editor.

It's actually in the terrain manipulation toolbox (the mountain icon!)

ah, so its the black elipse with the red arrow, and one needs to click the vertices seperately if brush size is 1, if bigger it clears the tri/quad poly automatically...thanks a ton guys :)

emptySet
Just use it to make a hole where you need it.
