Program crash when adding material

Hello,

I was just messing around with the torque engine today (I'm a real n00b with the engine itself). And when i select a material from the material selector to put it on my object (which has only 40 faces) the engine keeps crashing over and over. But when i put it the material on the ground plane it works without crashing.

Maybe it has todo something with another problem on my computer. Cause sometimes my explorer just crashes when i open a map :S. But maybe it's also that my computer is not a good game computer. I got it for 3d programs such as 3dsmax, but running games is real hard for my computer while its very fast with 3dsmax or design programs. But what i notice is that Torque is using the "What U See Is What U Get" method my PC might have some problems with that.... But still it wont be so bad i cant even put a material on a 40 faces object.....

I'm using:

Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5320 @ 1.86GHz
1.86 GHz Performance Rated at: 3.348 GHz
2.0 GB RAM
Quadro FX 1500 video card (not really good for games they told me :( but should be good for applications )

Anyway just wondering if someone had the same problem or knows what the problem might be, thanks in advance
(Hope my english is not too worse to understand haha)
