I'm so confused

what is the difference with this product http://www.garagegames.com/products/torque-3d/tgea ($295)

vs

http://www.garagegames.com/products/torque-3d ($1000)

my goal is to find an engine my team can use to make a traditional RTS title with.

Any help is appreciated, I have been researching this for weeks and seem to get more confused with each passing day.

TGEA is the old tech (simple world builder, by comparison), and not being actively sold anymore. T3D is the new engine, with a bunch of new tools in the editors.
