Server in Europe?

How about a server in Europe so I can get lower pings? :-)
Tell me if I should help on this. I have a static connection to the Internet with 2,5 Mbit down and 768 Kb up.
I haven't bought the game yet, but will as soon as my new VISA card arrives.

I just need a linux server.
The game is pretty much unplayable at these hours for us european folks; the tanks blinks in/out, teleport a few meters off etc etc.

I'm also in europe, and I also have a good server here, like >5Mb/s. I can certainly host a game and not be noticed ! :-)I just need a linux server.

I assume people know that they can run dedicated servers on the Mac, just follow the instructions in ded_server.txt and ded_server_mac.txt... You could probably set up an old G3 233 w/OSX and it'd serve just fine...d

And yeah, I think I'll restrain from playing due to lag. It makes a HUGE difference in score depending on the current latency. Some matches I win with like 10 goals, and some others a few hours later I end up with zero goals, just a bunch of very frustrating kisses with rocks and obstacles.

I don't want to use a mac, I have a linux machine that is on a much better pipe than my DSL.And yeah, I think I'll restrain from playing due to lag. The linux version of the game will be out very soon and we will work with registered users who want to run servers (and this is not limited to Europe). Send us an email info@bravetree.com.

There is also a dedicated server in Germany running now on our linux server... the connection is pretty fast, although the machine isn't that strong (1400 Mhz, 256MB) ... but so far performance seems to be great :) - and I get a ping below 80 (compared to around 200-300 for the US servers).(it's listed as "Beffy's Server (GER)")...

Martin, if you downloaded version 1.02 of the game, there are some instructions for dedicated servers on the mac in the readme. If they are not adequate, send an email to support@bravetree.com. Thanks.

Once you get a build, it would be great if you could host a European server. I have a feeling a few will start popping up soon.
