[T3D 1.0] Decals Limit Amount

Hi,

Torque is crashing every time I add more than 16 decals to a certain mission (in fact every time I place the 17th). no limt warnings. after that, the whole mission can´t be loaded if I don´t delete the .decal file before.

Has anyone realised about that?? could it be solved in 1.0.1? is there any reason (momory wise or whatever) for this to happen or is it just a bug??

Hi

We are having the same exact problem here.
Altough we placed some more decals (around 40) everytime one more decal is added it crashes the engine. And the worst part is that the level gets unable to open until the missionname.decals.cs file is deleted.
Since this file is in a binary format we can't even try to fix it.
We have been trying for a whole day! As it didn't worked we decided to forget about using then until it gets fixed.

What is very annoying is that the entire level was planned to be using these decals and moving to another solution would get us in a lot of other problems...

Do anyone knows how to fix this? When the 1.1beta is going out?

There's a code fix for decals somewhere in the Private forum.

I was searching the forum a while, it is how I found this thread. But I can't find the fix you mentioned. Would you point to me where it is, please?
