Portals from Collada/DTS itself...

Why can we place Portal Zones directly in the World Editor? It would make more sense to create portals inside the modeling package. This way the portal can be placed much more precise. And the polygons of the portals have to be named like

portal_main
portal_secondEntry
portal_SmurfVillage

whatever...

Currently it is not funny to work with portal zones.

This is going to sound like the world's biggest noob question, but how do you set portals in the world editor? I've been searching for tutorials on this for a while now and can't find anything. Any help would be awesome.

Easy. Open your "Object Editor". Go to Library->Level->Level.
There you can find the objects "Zone" and "Zone Portal".

Place a zone to encapsulate some of your objects.
Make a second zone and encapsulate another set of objects. Then create a Zone Portal to combine these two zones.

But the world editor has no orthogonal views. It makes no fun to place zones and zone portals correctly.
