Marble Madness is a lot more like Marble Madness than it is like Monkey Ball. Besides just the name... But oh well.

While the MB powerups and such put me in mind of Marble Madness, the fact that you're manipulating the field of play instead of the ball means that it *plays* more like SMB.
I don't think they were being derogatory towards MB with that comment btw.. being able to play a SMB-like game on the PC is certainly not a bad thing *grin*

Nah Pat, if you look at the first dev snapshot of MB, you'll see I drew the parallel between MB and Super Monkey Ball right away. Umm... you control the ball in MB not the playfield.

@everyone: ya... you gotta admit MB isnt exactly the most original concept, but hey, its fun and inexpensive... that makes it better than most games
btw, I went to bed earlier today while that sadamn game was up, when I woke up I noticed it was deleted. I had a little political rant in that thread, could anyone who was awake for that 7 hour stretch tell me if that whole thread just got really out of hand and thats why GG deleted it? I'd hate to think it was deleted because of me
