Future of TGB?

With T2D on the horizon, what is the future of TGB? Will there be a version beyond 1.7.4 that fixes some of the many bugs that have been reported over the years? Or will this become an unsupported product, left at 1.7.4?
I ask bacause the system requirements for T3D are a bit higher (on the MacOS X side at least) than I want/need for my game projects. Just wondering if T2D will die, or still have some measure of support, at least until some of the bugs are fixed...

Well like I said, the system requirements (OS X 10.6 and an Intel Mac on the Mac side) are too high for my taste to switch right now. I'm merely wanting bug fixes. :-/
