Terrain Editor Rendering Issue

Hello,
New to GG myself, but I have been following it for quiet some time... Searched for this "bug" or issue I am encountering but doesn`t seem like anyone else is having this issue.
I created a new project, and then utilized the "Create Blank Terrain" option to create a ground for my world, I then created 3 more Terrain blocks and arranged them in a massive square.
I then proceeded to go head and started to make my rough terrain edits, I noticed that on the first Terrain block, everything is smooth and fluid, and when I go to any of the other 3 blocks using the "raise/lower/flatten" options it causes my computer to momentarily freeze for 1-2ms, which is extremely annoying when editing large areas. If I then go back to the first Terrainblock, everything is fluid and smooth.
My blocks have a 1024 Resolution, and I have not added any materials or other objects into the world yet..
Running
Windows 7 RTM
4x147GB SAS Drives (Raid 0) OS partition
Quad Core 2.66Ghz
ATI 4870 X2 2GB
Anyone have any suggestions on things to try, or can replicate this issue?

As you are running high on RAM (1.6GB++ likely) with these 4 blocks.

My machine has 4GB DDR3 Ram...
It is extremely strange as it is ONLY smooth when editing the first block but even a few pixels into any of the other blocks and I get the hesitation..

We're planning to offcially support multiple terrain blocks like this in 1.1... in theory it should work, but we haven't tested it.
