character stuff with 3ds max

i need to know how tall a charcter needs to be and how miny poly gons the character needs to be in order for me to import him/her into TGE the safest amount of polygons so it looks good and works properly and what are the bone names so i can use the existing animation on it so test it out oh and im using 3ds max

#1. The forums are saturated with this information.
#2. typically, 1 max unit = 1 Torque unit = 1 meter
#3. The orc is 2.4meters tall which is almost 8 feet..but he is an Orc.
#4. There is an orc source max file in the SDK's game/shapes/player folder. You can use him to see the rig/bones.
#5. poly count: You're using TGE so I would say to keep your players near/below 2000 triangles. ..of course that is just an opinion.

If your using the same animations, you have to be really careful. It's a good idea to use the source orc max file, and use the bone structure they already have in place. If you make your model proportionately different, the animations will be off...
