Windows 7 - Compatibility

by Sam.E · in General Discussion · 10/01/2009 (6:06 am) · 9 replies

Just a quick question, Will any of the torque products be compatible with Windows 7? or will there be problems?

I first purchased TGB about a year ago, and I had used it on Windows XP and it worked with no problems, I then installed it on my computer with Windows Vista and again, no problems. When Windows 7 comes out I plan on setting up that spare computer in my basement with Windows 7 and installing TGB on it, but will it work?

It's working fine on my W7 machine. Melv and Philip are doing their primary T2D development on W7 machines.

We're having some major problems with Windows 7, and had problems with Vista as well. See this thread.

Am using W7 with no problems, have migrated all my tools and bar finding them all I have had no problems at all.

Its the first windows operating system I have liked since Windows 95..

Well, I downloaded the RC of it and began testing TGB and Blender, now I remind you both these programs worked on this computer before I installed 7, they worked perfectly...

TGB Problems...

I can't maximize??
- I don't know why but when I try to maximize the engine everything just goes blurry then I get a huge image of the others button from the edit tab where the map should be, then I can't do anything...

Blender Problems...

I can't do anything...
- Nothing works, on startup it comes with a bug, then scrolling menus before they close, can't render anything, export scripts don't work (I don't know why this doesn't work!?!?!!?)

Please help if you can, if you can't still help :D

Yay!! I got TGB + Blender to work on Windows 7, I had to run as administrator, lol such a silly mistake :P

Have any other conclusions been found? I have tried running in administrator as well as disabling visual themes and desktop composition as had been mentioned by some people on other threads.

Have you updated your video drivers? What is your chipset and version of the driver?
