exporting from maya collision problems

I'm having a problem exporting DTS files from maya, basically i have a shape, a slightly complex block, and various other small blocks intersecting it, and a chair, now i have created a simple collision mesh for it, i embedded the entire shape and duplicated the detail1 to Collision_1 and renamed the collision block to Col_1, now the problem is if i select from base 1 and export, the player collides but nothing is visible except one of the small blocks. but if i select from start01 and export selection it exports the shape, collision mesh is visible and all others meshes, but wont collide.

My copy of Maya should hopefully be getting here in a week or so. If you haven't managed to get it figured out by then I'd be glad to poke at it with a stick for you.

Just to avoid overlooking the obvious, what did you set the objects collision to in the Torque Editor and did you try playing with different settings?

yes, ive looked and tried playing with all diffrent settings i exausted my options before posting here. as i said the mesh comes out when i export it selecting base in the hiearchy, but the model except for one of the blocks doesnt so its an invisible mesh with a collision mesh. on the other hand if i select from base the entire model and collision mesh get rendered but the collision mesh is just a normal textured mesh

Have you tried the Collada export?
I've had better - consistent - results using Collada then using the DTS exporter.
