Are the file types it supports (OBJ and DXF apparently) supported by Torque?

We'd love to use this, but if it isn't compatible... :\

You could always import a z-brush object into max and then export from there. You need to have both then though. Z-brush does have some nifty features though.

Hmm... we're on a super-low budget. Are there any other utilities that could convert ZBrush files to something Torque can import? Thanks for the swift response.

I doubt it. You would need a obj/dfx to dts converter. Maybe there is a way of importing into Milkshape though, then exporting from there.

But ZBrush for games? I though it was only good for REALLY high poly stuff.

Well, suppose we wanted to import a file from Milkshape into Zbrush. Then wanted to, in Zbrush, paint and texture that 3d object. Could we import that Zbrush file into 3ds Max(or Milkshape), textures included? (I've managed to get a hold of Milkshape, Zbrush, and 3ds Max 4). I'm primarily concerned with keeping textures intact. I'm sure I could figure something out in regards to file conversions...I hope.

Any comments or questions about this, please respond.

Looks like you can import .obj files into Milkshape. At least there info page says you can. Import and export so it's a two way street.

Another thing, I can't find it documented--can Torque import .obj?

Nope, the TGE only does dts, but it has exporters for LW, Max, Maya(I think?), and trueSpace. And I believe they can all import obj. As for the prices of the apps, trueSpace is the lowest, and if an exporter comes out for the 3.2 version of it, you can do it for free.

Thanks for all the help! We're gonna stick to Milkshape, hehe!
