Green water?

by Ken Beard · in Torque 3D Professional · 09/16/2009 (8:58 am) · 4 replies

Is their something that I am missing? In the Warrior Camp demo my levels look nothing like the ones used for screen shots in the T3D blogs. I have everything turned on and up as high as possible, the level runs smooth as can be yet my version looks like nothing in the screen shots. Even the blue water on my machine is green, and the sky seems like something from TGE's early years. It really has me scratching my head as I'm pretty sure its my system.

My system is the following:

MoBo - GIGABYTE GA-P55-UD5
CPU - Intel Core2 Quad Q9400
Memory - 8GB OCZ DDR3
Video Card - ATI Radeon HD 4890 1GB (X 2 via CrossFire) *All drivers are up to date*
Hard Drive - Western Digital Caviar Green 1TB (X4)
OS: Windows 7 64 bit

I also have the latest DX, and I have a pre-August DX SDK.

Are ATI cards just that lousy compared to Nvida?

Ken,

I guess somewhere along one of the beta builds the water got changed to green. If you want it to be blue just use the object editor and change the water color from green to the blue of your liking.

Pool needs cleaning, a bit of chlorine in there and it'll be fine. :D

You could just look in the editor for the colour, which is green. So, not your system.

I reported only black clouds on some GPUs as a bug previously.

Thanks everyone, happy to know it wasn't something funky with my GPU
