Transparency works, but no color?

by Chris Skaggs · in Torque Game Engine · 09/14/2009 (4:11 pm) · 3 replies

I am trying to create a translucent vase, using blender and torque. My first attempt I was able to get the colormap working but had issues with the transparency, but eventually figured out that I had forgotten to hit the "translucent" button in the exporter menu. In my second attempt, I was able to get the transparency working fine, but now for some reason I can't seem to be able to see the color I put. I'm using a .png file saved with the superPNG script from photoshop as my texture. Does this sound like a simple solution? Am I missing something obvious?

Well, I use blender with PNG images and they work just fine. The only difference for me is that my PNG images are exported from gimp. Have you tried editing the ways you export the image?

I tried changing the export, but that didn't work. Anything else? And thanks for your response. :)

I'm not sure where, but I must have pressed some button I'm not supposed to because when I decided to start over today, it all seemed to work. Thank you for your help, however, and I'm sorry for taking up too much of your time!
