That sinking feeling! Oceans of GUI

This is more of an annoyance than a serious bug.
I have a mission that is on the open ocean. I am using a WaterPlane for the ocean. It looks fine in the game and in the world editor but if I go into the GUI editor it looks like my boats are sinking! It looks like the water plane is titled at a 5 degree angle (the front of the boat is out of the water but the back is now submerged). When exiting back to the game or the world editor, everything is fine.

I've seen the same thing - When using the GUI editor, my water level rose and everything sunk. At first I panicked, but then I realized I was in the GUI editor (I was trying to get into the world editor), and when I exited, everything was OK.

The heightfield had identical values around the areas that seemed to be rising or sinking. I never found a fix, I just rotated the terrain. Should have tried reloading like you did.
