Dear GarageGames Community,

First of all, let me thank you ahead of time for taking time out of your day to read this post. It is very well appreciated. My team and I are seeking out a few team members to assist us in developing a role-playing game. We are looking to fill the positions listed below:

  1. 1-2 3D Modelers
  2. 1-2 Pixel Artists
  3. 1 Concept Artist
  4. 1 Composer

The work is unpaid, but money will be disturbed to team members accordingly if money is ever made off the project. Now the technical details are out of the way, please allow me to explain more about our team, the game itself, and some of details you may be dying to know.

Plot

Due to semi-obvious reasons, I'm not going to post our entire storyline here, but we do have a writer finishing up the story. An excerpt from the plot concept is listed below however:

Quote:The soul crux is the life of someone, it’s who you are. If you had no soul crux you would be a lifeless body that would just lay motionless on the ground. You would be helpless to do anything, unable to react, you would feel nothing, and you would be nothing. The soul crux is your anima, your essence. You couldn’t possibly survive without one.

They say when you die your soul crux leaves your body and travels to “Solvo Terra”. You can live here without any worries and life is perfect. There is no such thing as pain or limitations in Solvo Terra. You can be anything you want here and it is your final destination in life until you are reincarnated. That is what they say or how the gods wanted it.

I hope the above text is enough to display what kind of game this will be, and how the plot is going to proceed. Inquire if you wish to know more.

Game Development Progress - How much is done?

As of right this moment, not a lot is being worked on gameplay wise. Documents are being typed up, things are being planned out. We believe a properly planned out game ahead of time is the key to success. Inquire if you would like to know more.

Is there a time line or deadline to meet?

No time line or deadline is set at this time. One may be added at a later date.

Who does the team consist of at this time?

Steven Santos - Team Leader/Programmer
Vaughands - Programmer/Writer
Elm - Programmer/Co Writer

If you have any questions on specific aspects of the game, please do ask and I will get back to you with an answer. You can contact me by dropping a simple post on this post or by e-mail me at santos_steve@hotmail.com. Thanks for your time, and my team and I hope to hear from you soon!

Regards,
Steven Santos

Your project sounds fantastic to me because I actually believe in the concept itself (although on one small detail I don't believe the soul needs to travel away from the body after death, rather that the soul has always existed in the "Solvo Terra" dimension, is and always has been omnipresent, it simply loses the "body" experience (the "body" meaning: the interface between you and the physical world)). In any case I would be proud to work on your project in any capacity because of my belief in it. Music composer? Some of my music is here http://www.youtube.com/user/NaveenChawlaUK (with some particle animations that I made for it). I'm also capable as a software dev and would love to discuss concepts.

Send me an email: naveen.chwl@googlemail.com

Warmest regards,

Hi Steve.

My name is Andy P. Scott and I own and compose for an entertainment company known as"epic(sound)".

I noticed that you did not have a composer listed in your team so I thought I'd offer up my services.

I would be more than happy to provide the music for you if you would like, all I require is that you show proper credits, etc.

You can check out some of my work on my Facebook fan page here:

<a href="http://www.facebook.com/pages/epicsound/59356400090?ref=nf#/pages/epicsound/59356400090?v=info&ref=nf">epic(sound)</a>

I don't have my official site up yet but you can find several of my sample tracks at the above link.

My style is heavily influenced by the earlier RPGs like Final Fantasy and Chrono Trigger while at the same time having the newer edge of games like Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion & World of Warcraft.

I look forward to hearing back from you and to the opportunity to possibly be a part of the team for this project.

You can personally email me at andypscott@epicsound.com
Thanks!
