Tutorials/Intro Non-Existant?

I've been looking everywhere for worthwhile tutorials or readable documentation concerning TorqueX (specifically 2D). At the moment, I'm not even sure what advantages TorqueX 2D offers over vanilla XNA, and even if I knew I wouldn't even know where to begin learning the tools/framework. XNA has many tutorials that help you to learn the basics of the framework while I can't find a single worthwhile tutorial on TorqueX. It seems the only way to actually learn TorqueX is to buy the book which GarageGames conveniently sells. Are there any other options so that I can at least get a good feel for the language before I spend $60 on a book that may be worthless?

The tutorials are great by the way, we need a good gui tutorial.
The book is in no way useless unless of course you Do not use Torque at all. I have just submitted my second product to XBLIG and it was done with torque, the first raw XNA. While there was a hump to get over with the Torque game, I will say that I was able to do so much more than I would have even attempted in vanilla XNA. I am pleased with my purchase. One of the best parts was being able to hand stuff off to my son who used the T2D Game Builder to tweak away at stuff. He's the artist.

I'm trying to squeeze some time in to put together a couple Torque X 3D game tutorials. A good UI tutorial is a great idea!
Also, good call about the picture - by the time I get around to changing it, I'm likely to post a summer picture in the middle of winter.

Awesome Henry!!! Mind listing the titles to your games? I have some extra MS points to spend. Sharing with your son must have been a really fun experience - can't wait for my kids to get older, for now, they're just filling in as my QA team ;)I'm trying to squeeze some time in to put together a couple Torque X 3D game tutorials.
